THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR – Framed dimensions: 15″ H x 17-3/4″ W. Water reflections always fascinate me, and it was truly an amazing thing when the water was still enough to actually reflect the stars. Hughlett Point State Park in Northumberland County, VA rides right on the edge of the Chesapeake Bay, and has a beautiful little estuary that snakes along the inner edge of the white sandy beach, culminating in a small series of little ponds before finding its outlet into the bay. No matter how windy it was in the bay, it was always calm in the ponds, so when it was calm in the bay, the water was like glass in the ponds. As a Christian, I felt compelled to name this from the biblical book of Revelations, as God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, The Bright and Morning Star… A closer look will reveal the light shining from the star appears to form the shape of a cross. Framed in formal antiqued silver/gold frame with navy suede mat and silver/gold filet. $597.00
